Dont know if this is in the right section, but i'd like your thoughts on some fish i required recently, sold as Peacock Endlers. If it hadn't been the fact that these were supplied by some one who is a registered keeper i'd have to say they were hybrids. The males i got looked like proper Endlers but the first lot of young have now started colouring up and look very suspect to me. Could it be that peacocks throw out a odd set of young every now and again, (Adrian?) or is it some time in their life they have been in contact with Guppies? I'm gutted as they just don't look right to me.

Look like they have two peacock black dots as well. Totally different to the males i had sent. They did look ok. Second picture down is one of the males i received.

Hi Mark,
They are young fish.. Give them a few weeks to completely color up..
The last pic has a nice male, looks right to me.. You have to let most of the young mature to better compair..

If you can't trace your endlers but they look pure they are (P class)..

Most of the time when a strain looks pure but is not, thier Offspring or Future generations will produce hybrid traits ..

Cheers Adrian. I'll give it a bit more time then. I got them from a registered keeper so hope their ok. The two dots on the tails just look strange although i supose they could become one as time goes on. Fingers crossed.
